Apple is offering in-store iPhone 5S screen repairs for £119

APPLE IS OFFERING in-store screen repairs for theiPhone 5S in its UK stores for the first time.
Multiple websites have reported that Apple has brought itsiPhone 5S screen repair service to Europe, and the firm has confirmed this to The INQUIRER. Apple's Regents Street store in London told us that the service is available now priced at £119, with store staff able to carry out such a repair within one hour. The firm already offers a similar service for the iPhone 5C.
Previously those who had smashed their iPhone 5S screen would have to fork out €249 for an off-site repair, which could take days.
Apple has launched the programme in the UK just weeks ahead of its anticipated iPhone 6 launch, with an unveiling expected to take place in San Francisco on 9 September.
If speculation is to be believed, an in-store screen repair service might not be required for the iPhone 6, with the handset(s) expected to feature an "impossible to break" sapphire display. The screen has been the topic of multiple online leaks, which showed that Apple's new screen technology will be able to withstand keys, a knife and being stood on.
However, the sapphire display didn't fare so well when pitted against sandpaper, which managed to scuff the supposedly "scratch-proof" screen.
As well as an improved screen, the iPhone 6 - which reportedly will be available in 4.7in and 5.5in versions - is expected to boast a redesigned casing, a faster processor, a heart rate sensor, upgraded cameras and support for wireless charging.
